The EU H2020 project EuroSea has made fantastic contributions to the work of marine biogeochemistry observing and modelling communities, and IOCCP has been thrilled to be part of it over the past 4 years. We are excited to invite you to join the upcoming EuroSea Symposium on Ocean Observing and Forecasting, a high-level event bringing together national and international stakeholders from policy, science, and industry. This symposium will take place on 21 September 2023, at the IOC/UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
Registration for the event is currently open and will close on 5 September 2023. For more information on how to register, please visit the website: https://events.geomar.de/event/233/. Please read the Symposium Agenda.
The EuroSea Symposium is a momentous occasion to celebrate the remarkable innovations in European ocean observing and forecasting over recent years. It will serve as a platform for participants to reflect on past achievements and address the challenges that lie ahead in this vital field. The event aims to present and discuss recommendations for building a sustainable ocean observing and forecasting system that provides accessible, timely, and actionable data and information to all ocean users. By fostering collaboration between diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, scientists, and industry leaders, the symposium strives to develop a unified approach to ocean research and forecasting.
The symposium will be live-streamed, ensuring wider accessibility for participants across the globe. The link to the live stream will be shared on the event's page, so mark your calendars and don’t miss out on this exceptional event. However, there will also be a limited number of seats for on-site participation.
