  • Webinar: Overview of marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR) science, policy and decision-making, 23 june 2023

This is to let you know about the upcoming webinar on marine carbon dioxide removal. This webinar series presented by the Coastal Acidification Networks along the West Coast and Alaska as well as California Ocean Science Trust is intended to deliver the best available information on marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR) and to explore concepts related to coastal ocean carbon. Through this series of co-designed webinars, participants will gain a better understanding of mCDR technologies, limitations, risks, and learn how to become engaged.

The webinar will take place on 23 June 2023, at 18:00 UTC. Please register here: https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/4220985988067491159

    The speakers will include:

    • Dr. Jessica Cross, NOAA OAP
    • Dr. Sarah Cooley, The Ocean Conservancy
    • Dr. David K, Ocean Visions
    • Dr. Chris Sabine, University of Hawaii Manoa

The IOCCP promotes the development of a global network of ocean carbon observations for research through technical coordination and communication services, international agreements on standards and methods, and advocacy and links to the global observing systems. The IOCCP is co-sponsored by the Scientific Committee on Oceanic Research and the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO. Read more…
