We would like to encourage you to take advantage of some exciting opportunities to engage with the global ocean acidification community today. First, you can visit the Ocean Action Hub online forum for ocean acidification discussions in advance of the UN Ocean Conference on SDG-14. Second, visit the Global Ocean Acidification Observing Network (GOA-ON) portal and contribute your ocean acidification monitoring assets. Third, take a look at the 3rd GOA-ON workshop Summary for Policymakers to get an overview of ongoing global and regional network activities. Last but not least, consider becoming a mentor or mentee through GOA-ON's Pier2Peer program.
1. Participate in an online forum on ocean acidification
In advance of the Ocean Conference on addressing the UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG-14) to be held on 5-9 June in New York, USA, an online forum - the Ocean Action Hub - opened for contributions just recently. The discussion is on the implementation of SDG14.3, aimed at minimising and addressing the impacts of ocean acidification (OA). The forum is moderated by Kirsten Isensee (UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, France), David Osborn (International Atomic Energy Agency, Monaco), Bronte Tilbrook (CSIRO Oceans and Atmosphere, Australia) and Libby Jewett (NOAA OA Program, USA). Please post a comment on your experience in the forum online. If you have any difficulties posting online, you can email it This email address is being protected from spambots.
