Save the date for the 4th International Symposium: The Effects of Climate Change on the World's Oceans, which will take place on June 4-8, 2018, in Washington DC, USA. The Symposium will bring together experts from around the world to better understand climate impacts on ocean ecosystems – and how to respond.
Organised by the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES), the North Pacific Marine Science Organization (PICES), the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries and other sponsors, the Symposium will:
- Highlight the latest information on how oceans are changing, what's at risk and how to respond,
- Identify key knowledge gaps
- Promote collaborations, and
- Stimulate the next generation of science and actions.
Initiated in 2008, this 4th Symposium addresses the growing demand for information on what is changing, what's at risk and how to respond. The 2018 Symposium is a great opportunity for students, professionals, and organizations to share information, highlight activities, build partnerships and shape the future of this important field. The Symposium will include:
