Registration for the 2016 Ocean Carbon & Biogechemistry (OCB) summer workshop is now open. The workshop will take place July 25-28, 2016 at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, USA. Live webcast of the workshop will also be available both during and after the workshop.
Deadline for registration: June 15, or when registration limit is reached (175 participants).
This year’s plenary sessions will among others include the following topics:
- Developing a global observing system based on profiling floats with biogeochemical sensors.
- Quantifying ocean carbon uptake
- Quantifying the state of the ocean biological pump from satellite observations
- New perspectives and critical gaps in understanding key biological processes involved in ocean carbon export
For more information about this year’s program and to register to attend please visit the workshop website.
Due to rising costs associated with this workshop, there will be a small registration fee for participating in the workshop. The OCB will do its best to accommodate all interested international participants.
